YFU Trustee Andrew Towne Attempts Everest
YFU alum and current YFU Trustee Andrew Towne attempted to climb Mt. Everest two years ago while raising funds for YFU needs-based scholarships. Andrew was mid-climb when a 7.8 earthquake hit on April 25, 2015. Andrew's quest to finish the last of the "Seven Summits" will begin again on April 5 as he once again raises money for YFU's needs-based scholarship fund. Andrew is self-funding his Everest climb, so that 100% of your donation goes to YFU's scholarship fund. Supporters of Andrew's campaign will receive periodic dispatches from him during his trek. Donate now to get on Andrew's dispatch list!
Help us reach Andrew’s goal of raising $20,000 in needs-based scholarship funds by sponsoring his climb:
- A penny per 100 feet at $29.03
- A penny per meter at $88.48
- A penny per 10 feet at $290.29
- A penny per foot at $2,902.90
Business sponsorships of $1,000 or more will receive a framed, signed photo of Andrew holding a flag with your corporate logo at the top of Mt. Everest. Contact YFU's Director of Development Rebecca Rorke at rrorke@yfu.org for details.
